Bunnie Xo is opening up about where she and husband Jelly Roll are in their journey to grow their family.

The 45-year-old spoke on her Dumb Blonde podcast on Nov. 2, where guest Maury Povich shared that he and his wife, Connie Chung, once faced similar struggles while trying to have a baby.

“We went through the same stuff that you and Jelly Roll have gone through,” Povich told Bunnie, noting that they attempted to get pregnant decades ago.

He recalled that Chung even stepped away from CBS at the time because their efforts became so public. When they ultimately learned they “couldn’t do it,” the pair chose adoption, a decision he said was “the best” he could have made.

Bunnie, whose legal name is Alisa DeFord, has been open about undergoing IVF with the 40-year-old Wild Ones singer, born Jason DeFord.

She admitted that the journey hasn’t been simple, but she chooses to stay grounded.

“It is tough, but at the same time it’s like, you just put it in God’s hands,” she said.

“If it’s meant to be, it’s meant to be. And if not, we can always adopt.” She added that both she and Jelly Roll are “totally open to adoption too.”

The couple married in 2016, and Bunnie became stepmom to Jelly Roll’s two children, daughter Bailee Ann and son Noah Buddy.

Over the past few years, she has shared honest updates about IVF.

In June, she posted an emotional video to celebrate what she called a “huge win,” after receiving news she had been waiting on for five months.

“All the tears, the hopelessness & the struggle, God finally said, ‘Here,’” she captioned the clip.

She later clarified in the comments that she was not announcing a pregnancy but marking an important step forward.

“This is not a pregnancy announcement — we won’t announce that,” she wrote. “This is just a huge win for us.”

For now, Bunnie and Jelly Roll are staying hopeful as they continue exploring all paths to growing their family, whether through IVF or adoption.
