David Beckham has officially earned his ‘Sir’ stripes
When David Beckham walked into Windsor Castle to be knighted by King Charles, all eyes were on his impeccable three piece suit and for good reason.
The sharp morning ensemble wasn’t crafted by Savile Row, but by none other than his wife, Victoria Beckham, marking both her debut in men’s formalwear and the first time she’s ever designed for her husband.
The milestone moment blended royal tradition with Beckham family flair.
According to DailyMail, the 51 year old fashion mogul secretly began designing the tailcoat and waistcoat back in June, shortly after learning her husband would be honoured in the King’s Birthday Honours list.
“David teases Victoria that she never makes him any clothes,” a close friend revealed a running joke that, it seems, inspired this regal surprise.
Determined to make the moment unforgettable, Victoria “threw herself into the project,” ensuring every stitch was flawless for her husband’s big day.
The ceremony itself was carried out to the strains of Golden, a hit from the Netflix movie KPop Demon Hunters, as the football icon knelt before the King to receive his knighthood for services to sport and charity.
Victoria, who received her own OBE in 2017, watched proudly alongside Beckham’s parents, Sandra and Ted, as her bespoke creation quite literally took a bow before the crown.
“The fact that David is wearing a Victoria Beckham creation makes an already special day even more extraordinary.”
